01Who we are

Astrozenio is a publication and digital products business operating at astrozenio.com. For the purposes of EU data protection law (GDPR), the data controller responsible for your personal data is:

02What we collect

We collect the following categories of personal data:

  • Contact data. Your email address when you sign up for a Cosmic Mirror Profile, opt into a list, or make a purchase. Optionally, your first name if you choose to share it.
  • Astrology data. Your zodiac sign, and if you complete a quiz, the answers and result associated with your email.
  • Purchase data. If you buy a digital product, our payment partner Digistore24 collects your billing details and transaction history. We receive a record of the purchase but do not store your full payment card details ourselves.
  • Technical data. IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring page, and pages visited on our site. This is collected automatically by our analytics and advertising systems.
  • Engagement data. Whether you opened our emails, which links you clicked, and which pages on our site you visited.

03Why we collect it

We use your personal data for the following purposes:

  • To deliver the content you signed up for, including Cosmic Mirror Profiles, quiz results, and any digital products you purchase.
  • To send you the emails you opted in to receive, including welcome sequences, sign-specific content, product announcements, and newsletters.
  • To operate and improve the site, including diagnosing technical issues, understanding which content is useful, and improving the user experience.
  • To run advertising and measure its effectiveness, including showing relevant ads on platforms like Meta and measuring how our marketing performs.
  • To meet legal and accounting obligations, including retaining records of transactions for tax purposes.

04Legal basis

Under GDPR, we process your data on the following legal bases:

  • Consent for marketing emails, optional cookies, and analytics tracking. You can withdraw consent at any time.
  • Performance of a contract when you purchase a digital product (delivering the product, sending receipts, providing support).
  • Legitimate interests for site security, fraud prevention, and basic analytics that do not require consent under your jurisdiction's rules. We balance these interests against your rights and freedoms.
  • Legal obligation for tax and accounting record retention.

05Who we share data with

We share your data with the following categories of trusted service providers, who process it on our behalf under contractual obligations:

  • Email infrastructure. FluentCRM (self-hosted on our WordPress installation) for list management. Amazon Web Services (Amazon SES) for email delivery.
  • Payment processing. Digistore24 GmbH (Germany) handles all purchase transactions, payment processing, and EU VAT compliance.
  • Analytics. Umami, self-hosted on our infrastructure.
  • Advertising. Meta Platforms (Facebook and Instagram) via the Meta Pixel and Conversions API, where you have consented to advertising cookies.
  • Hosting. Hostinger for our website hosting.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

06International transfers

Some of our service providers are based outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States (Amazon Web Services, Meta Platforms). When your data is transferred outside the EEA, we rely on the following safeguards:

  • The European Commission's adequacy decisions, where applicable.
  • Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, where adequacy decisions do not apply.

07How long we keep it

We keep your personal data for as long as needed to fulfil the purposes described in this policy.

  • Email subscribers: while you remain subscribed, plus a short period after unsubscribe to honour your unsubscribe request.
  • Purchase records: as required by Romanian and EU tax and accounting law, typically up to 10 years.
  • Analytics data: up to 24 months in aggregated form.
  • Inactive accounts: if you have not engaged with our emails or site for 24 months, we may remove you from active lists.

08Cookies and tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies for the following purposes:

  • Strictly necessary cookies. Required for the site to function. These do not require consent.
  • Analytics cookies. To understand site usage. Set only with your consent through our cookie banner.
  • Advertising cookies. Including the Meta Pixel. Set only with your consent through our cookie banner.

  • Erasure. Request that we delete your data, subject to legal retention requirements.
  • Restriction. Request that we limit how we process your data.
  • Portability. Request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Objection. Object to processing based on legitimate interests or for direct marketing.
  • Withdraw consent. Withdraw any consent you have given, at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Romanian Data Protection Authority (ANSPDCP) or your local supervisory authority if you believe we have not handled your data correctly.

10Children's data

Astrozenio is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

11Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, services, or legal obligations. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email.
